Audlem Bagpipe and Hurdy Gurdy Day, November 2007
Only Joan, Dave, Chris and Marilyn in this photo.
The band goes to the ABPHG day every year with
their bagpipes and hurdy gurdies cunningly
disguised as fiddles, whistles and guitars!!!

21st Birthday Ceilidh in Shrewsbury December 2008
Photo call before the off!
This party had an Irish theme and the band thoroughly enjoyed the
chance to air their Irish repertoire.
When four young girls asked for a tune for their demonstration of
Irish dancing Dave and Chris obliged with 'Austin Barrett's' on whistle
and bodhran. Magic!! |

Grosvenor Arms, Aldford December 2008
Playing Christmas music for a lunchtime party. A bucks fizz before we
started playing put us right in the mood! We did stick to water
after that, honest!
Left to right: Peter with sparkly drum; Marilyn on descant recorder,
Joan playing 'Ferdie' her 200+ year old violin and Dave playing
cornamuse. |
 |
The view from the other end of the band...
Marilyn playing a Mollenhauer alto recorder, Joan on octave violin, Dave
on Cornamuse (again), Elizabeth with her lovely ebony recorder and Chris
on lute. |

Wedding
Haslington, Crewe
June 2009
Here's the band playing for a wedding reception in a giant tipi. The
wedding had a rustic/gypsy theme and we searched out several new tunes
to fit in with the theme. It was a lovely, atmospheric wedding and
our music was much appreciated and commented on.
